OUR MISSION
Because of illness-related needs, it was necessary to purchase organic, properly prepared foods for our families. This required that we stop using the grocery stores for 90% of our food, and we had to search out local farms that had the clean, raw foods we needed. It took years and many, many miles to find the few farms we started with, and every week we traveled the road, going from farm to farm for our food.
Then friends began wanting to get the same good foods, and we would take their orders and pick up for them since we were going anyway. Then folks began either helping with the gas or taking turns making the farm runs.

PICKUP & DELIVERY
Over the last 7 years, the idea for Essentially Organic2 took several forms, the last becoming the online organic store you see on our website. The purpose was to help as many folks as possible obtain the same food we’ve spent years locating by giving them a single place to buy it and making just one trip to pick it all up, saving time, money, and gas.
When you join the buying club, you are guaranteed the very best of certified organic grass fed and pasture raised meats, dairy, produce, and other transitional organic products for healthy living. Everyone orders online and picks up their orders from either Host Homes, or local farmers markets.

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a way of purchasing food that helps build a sustainable local food system in the process. By sharing some of the risk, the work, and the commitment with the farmers, you are helping us take great steps forward in rebuilding that system here in the Charlotte region.
